| A Season in Review |

Ahh.. nostaliga is a good thing, yes? hehe.. Anyway.. This blog-post is about my memories from Girl Track 2004... Yes, I miss it. :p So suck it up and read!
The season began with something less then a bang, for me... I couldn't partipate the first week because I didn't have the proper physical exam.. So that blew. None the less, I showed up every day and learned the ropes (And freaked a few people out too, I'm sure!)
When I finally could partipate, it was fairly fun. The work outs werent too hard and I could feel myself improving. I slowly met people, markedly Julie Whithaus and Jessica Elliot. Good people, them. Crazy, but they're fun. ^^ Then one day, we did sprint ladders... My god I hated those!!! It went this (sprinting, mind you) 100M, 100M, 150, 150, 200 200, 150, 150, 100, 100... Oh holy fuck those were hard.. Think I mostly died then..
Anyway.. The first meet came.. And I was so proud to be running the 4x100, and the 200 dash.. In the 4x100 relay, I fucked up out first place by going outside the exceleration zone. Disquilified. The 200 I did decently in, I think. Don't remember, though. My team ended up winning this meet. Most meets after this were pretty good, though I never did win a race. Got two 3ed palces though, both for the 4x200, and one in Varsity, and one in JV.
Over the season, I never really had many injuries. Many pains yes, but nothing that would keep me from running. My ankels were really sore and swollen for a time, and I think I pulled by quad's a total of.. 3? And my hamstring has finally healed. So all in all, I was one f the most healthy of the group. ^^ Streaching saves your ass.
I ended up Varisty, and going to districts. I got my ass handed to me, as I expected. But it was a good year and I had a shitload of fun. I look foreward to next year.. ^_^ I'll run Varsity almost all the time then, AND get the cool green shouldered jacket. woot. :lol:
This saturday, the 22, my team is going to sectionals. Good luck to them!! ^_^

51. Is it right to flirt if you have a bf/gf? Eeh.. This is touchy... Generally no, though there might be some circumstances that make it okay. Unless you dont do it on purpose.
52. What was the last thing you cried over or got teary about? when I fucked up at my first track meet, and went through the exchange zone. It cost me a lot of respect and a first plce medal.
53. What's something about guys/girls you don't get? Why some/most men insist on looking at porn. They arn't interacting with the people in it at all.. So how can it be arousing? .. Well, whatever gets ya off, I suppose.
54. Are you happy? Most times.. I suppose so. But I certinly have my depressed moments.
55. Why? I'm happy cause my buddies are there. Dunno what I'd do without them... Really. I get depressed for various reasons.

| A Damn Good Day. |

Most people bitch about their days, and rightly so. Alot of crap happens to alot of people. Unfortunate, but thats the way of the world. So we should celebrate when we have a good day. Focus on the good, attempt to learn from the bad. ::nod. :: Anyway. Today I had myself a good damn day. So I want to celebrate it with a blog.
First, I actually got up on time, which is a shocker, and had time for breakfast. Thats rare for me. Anyway. At school, all my friends where there and all in fairly good moods. So that was fun times. (Never mind that yesterday I was chewing Bill out for threatening a friend of mine. which he apologised for ^^.. Yelling at him was amusing to me and my friends)
Then in first hour, which is my study hall, I didnt have any real work to do, so I was just going to take a nap. I was getting all comfortable when the phone rang and the teacher picked it up. It was one of the art rooms, asking for an art model. So, as everyone else had something to do, I went. That was an intersting experiance. They had me sit on these four desks pushed together and hold poses for 10 or 15 minutes. The first was fairly easy, sitting comfortably on a stool with my foot up on a smaller one. Then they had me lie down, with my arm up on a stool. That one got painful.. x.o But yeah. It was weird, to look around (with just my eyes, I couldnt turn my head) and see these various pictures of me. I was like.. dude.. Is my hair really that fuzzy? hehe. Anyway. I'm going back monday. This whole art modelling thing is pretty fun. I could see myself doing it for a little extra cash when I'm older (not the nude crap ::shudder:: )
The rest of my class hours were fairly uneventful. I watched a movie in second and thrid hour, tested fourth (and did wonderfully, I think) tested again in 5th (Not so good) and 6th was very... Latin-y.
After that I went to a track meet. I just *adore* most of the people on that team. Especaily Jenette (senior). Shes just so nice.. Anyway, sorry.. That was a "tangent".. hehe. Okay. At the meet today I was scheduled to run the 200 dash Varsity. I was in the last heat, which is almost always the fastest. I was like... :shock: Yeah... So we go through all the heats, then mine comes. Bang! The gun goes off and my heat is off like a streak. I pushed myself, ran the best I could... And still came in 5th. But I shaved almost a second off my personal best! I went from my previous best of 28.6 to 27.4. Which is a HUGE improvment for one race. And I couldn't be more thrilled. Screw it that I didn't make finals. I ran the best I could and made a PR because of it. Then my 4-by-200 didnt do so hot and thats okay. We ran as well as we could.
But besides the PR, heres the REALLY cool thing: Both my mom and dad were watching my 4x200. Thats amazingly rare, seeing as how my dad lives in Minnesota. So I was just thrilled that they both got to see me run ^_^ Yes that sounded self-centered, but its important to me! I put in A LOT of damn time into track, and I like them to see me. My dad doesnt have alot to be proud of me for, so this is important to me for that reason.
... So thats pretty much it. A good day, topped off by a Oberwiess shake. Mmmm. Ice-creamy goodness. Hehe.. So that was my good day ^_^ I wias thrilled. You should be too! now go and have your own self a good day soon. Cause they're good for ya.... Mhm... I'm done now.

This is a call for help to anyone who cares to answer: Save me! My dad is back in town.
This is bad because my father, while I love him, is very annoying. Plus he's been out of town for 7 months or so (Last I saw him, it was Thanksgiving)
Why is this a bad thing? Because he is nosey, pushy, and an acholholic. Though to give credit where credit is due, he IS the best drunk I know. He can drive well and everything. He tends to get either very mushy or rather aggressive (not like violent, just likes to prove his drunken point). So that aint so great. But to be fair, I do love my dad. And hes so intelligent. You can ask him anything and he'll have an answer. If he doesnt then he'll find the answer.
And his wife. Victoria. I think she is just so nice. More ditzy then fuck, but super sweet. I think he found a pretty damn good second wife, if ya ask me.
Now I know I'm lucky to have my dad. I know plenty of people that would literally kill to have their own fathers back. My moms dad died when she was 16 or so... So I really learned his value there. But would it kill him to be a little less obnoxious and abrasive?
